Valencia Supper Club brings you the tastes of Valencia, most famously represented by Paella.

I was born in Valencia but raised in England. Countless school holidays gave me plenty of opportunity to enjoy Valencia’s rich food heritage, including Paella. My Grandmother owned an orange farm in Alzira (outskirts of Valencia) where we would always enjoy traditional Paella Valenciana (rabbit and snails included) cooked over a fire built with wood from orange trees.

Having graduated from the ‘Escuela Valenciana de Arroces y Paella’ (under the tutelage of Chef Pepe Fortea) I went on to take classes at the London Paella School. It was here that I first met head-chef and owner, Xavi Meroño. In addition to running the school, Xavi also ran the successful, ‘Paella Shack’ brand across a variety of locations in London. With the arrival of COVID, the school and most of the catering work stopped completely. It was then that we brought Paella Shack to the Beaconsfield Market where we built up a loyal customer base.

With Xavi concentrating his efforts in the London area, I took the decision to go solo and Valencia Supper Club was officially born in 2020. We continued to operate from Beaconsfield Market and also started our very successful Saturday pop-ups at Emmetts Farm in Little Marlow.

Throughout 2021 we continued to grow the business catering for all kinds of events from Weddings to anniversaries, birthday parties to school leaver parties, corporate events and street food gigs. It also saw the start of our collaboration with the Corazón del Río restaurant in Bourne End where we cooked our Paellas on their magnificent terrace overlooking the River Thames.

2022 was a very busy year with almost every weekend seeing us booked for private events (weddings, garden parties, anniversaries, school leaving parties) as well as a number of very successful corporate catering events. We also slowly introduced our ‘Paella-in-a-Pan’ delivery/collection service which has been extremely well-received.
